Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy describes how PrepaPortugal collects, uses and protects your information.
1. Data controller
The data controller is F. Azaza, the publisher of the app. For any question about your personal data, you can contact us at contact@azaza.fr. 2. Information collected
PrepaPortugal uses Firebase anonymous authentication. No data that identifies you directly (no name, no email) is collected. The following is stored: learning progress (per-test estimates, mastery by topic, mock exam history), usage preferences (exam date, settings), an anonymous Firebase-generated identifier, technical data (version, platform, crash reports) and content you flag as incorrect. 3. Legal basis for processing
We process your data on these bases: the performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) to provide the app, save your progress and manage your subscription; our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in securing the app, fixing crashes and measuring its use in aggregate; your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), asked in the app, for optional features such as the assisted correction. You can withdraw your consent at any time by no longer using the feature or by writing to contact@azaza.fr. 4. Use of data
Data is used to sync your progress across devices, improve the experience and the adaptive learning algorithms, fix reported content errors and diagnose technical issues. 5. Third-party services
The app uses Google's Firebase services: Firebase Authentication (anonymous auth), Cloud Firestore (progress and reports), Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports) and Firebase Analytics (aggregated usage statistics). Payments and premium subscriptions are handled by RevenueCat, the App Store (Apple) and Google Play. No advertising is shown. 6. International data transfers
The providers above (Google/Firebase and RevenueCat) may process and store data on servers located outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. These transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework certification. 7. Storage and retention
Your progress data is stored locally (via Hive) and synced encrypted with Cloud Firestore. Your data is kept as long as you use the app. You can ask for its deletion at any time by writing to contact@azaza.fr with the name of the app. We delete your data within 30 days and confirm it by email. Uninstalling the app does not delete the data kept online. 8. Security
Communications with our servers are encrypted via TLS. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. 9. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. 10. Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, restrict, object to, request portability of or delete your data: contact@azaza.fr. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados), www.cnpd.pt. 11. Changes
Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. 12. Assisted correction (optional)
The app can review the texts you write in the writing-practice section. This feature is optional and only runs after you explicitly agree to it. When you ask for a review, the text you have just written is sent to Google (Gemini) for analysis; under that service's terms, Google may use it to improve its services, including through human review. We therefore recommend not including sensitive personal information. No text is ever sent without your request.
